My Fulbright project involved comparing elite bilingual education with intercultural bilingual education in Peru. The linked presentation is a summary of my observations (currently only in Spanish).

Work in Andahuaylas, Peru
This past year, I have been working on a project titled "Comparative Bilingual Education Systems in Peru," through which I have spent a lot of time at a Quechua-Spanish bilingual school in Andahuaylas, Peru.
Last December 2012, I asked friends and family to help support a Christmas hot chocolate party for the students as a means of encouragement to them and the teachers for their good work. The first video asks for donations, and the second thanks everyone who helped.

Hopefully these videos will give you an idea of the school and community's current situation (which is similar to many Quechua-speaking and other indigenous communities in Peru). Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to visit!
